Frequently asked questions
Pricing, quality, returns, delivery and warranty — the short answers. Still stuck? Call us or request a call back.
Why are your prices so much lower than the companies in my area?
We’re a wholesale company. We sell a lot of batteries and deal direct with the manufacturers, which lowers our costs — and yours.
Are your batteries as good or better than what I can buy from the box stores?
Yes. We move a lot of batteries, so ours are fresh and come direct from the manufacturer — they haven’t been sitting on a shelf for months. We deal with some of the largest, most established manufacturers in the world, including Clarios, Yuasa, Energizer, Optima and many more.
How do I know the battery I’m getting is a good one and not a dud?
All of our batteries are tested before being sold, so no battery should be “dead on arrival.”
What if I purchased the wrong battery? Can I return it, and what is your return policy?
In the event that happens, we’re happy to take back any unused product within 30 days of the purchase date.
I live outside city limits — can I still get delivery?
Yes. A small fee applies. For the Winnipeg surrounding area the additional fee is typically $30. For locations a little further out we can usually get product to you the next day, with the delivery fee determined case by case. Call (204) 783-8787 for details.
What is the warranty process?
The warranty period varies by battery category. For example, wet-acid automotive batteries carry a 6-year total basic warranty: the first 2 years are the free-replacement period and the final 4 years are pro-rated. In every warranty case the testing process is the same — batteries are checked for manufacturer defects through voltage, load-capacity, charge-retention and (where possible) sulfation testing. Warranty options vary by battery category; contact us with any questions.
How does delivery and pickup work?
$20.00 flat delivery inside the Winnipeg perimeter · free in-store pickup. Order by 1:30 PM for same-day delivery inside the perimeter. Pickup is free at either the North (Logan Ave) or South (Dovercourt Dr) store.
What is a core charge?
Some batteries include a refundable core charge — a deposit on your old battery. Bring your old battery of the same type back to either store, or hand it to the delivery driver, and the core charge is refunded in full. The returned battery is recycled.
